One more topic!

This topic is a very small part of Speaking section in Toefl iBT exam. It is called Independent speaking topic. In a real Toefl iBT exam, a test taker will have 15 seconds for preparation and then talk about it in 45 seconds. Remember: only 15 seconds for this topic. Personally, this is a tough duty because in a short time, the test taker has to make up at least two ideas and speak it with a high English speaking proficiency.

"In some schools, teacher decide what classes students must take. Other schools allow students to select their own classes. Which system do you think or better and why? Include details and examples in your explanation".

In my opinion, I prefer to the system in which teacher decide what classes students must take because of the two following reasons.

Firstly, I strongly believe that graduate students must obtain all necessary knowledge to begin their career. If they just choose materials which are familiar to them, they may lose a lot of available things. Moreover, I think that teachers have enough experience to decide what is good for their students. With a steady background, the senior students may have more self-esteem and adaptability in whatever situation.

Secondly, in the system, the students have chance to discover a lot of interesting things in a new subject. In engaging in a new one, they can find more their ability and know how to solve a new problem.
